Personal Insolvency

The Insolvency Service of Ireland (ISI) is now accepting applications for Debt Settlement Arrangements (DSA) and Personal Insolvency Arrangements (PIA). These are schemes formulated by Personal Insolvency Practitioners which will allow borrowers, who are overwhelmed with debt, or simply cannot meet their liabilities, to come to a manageable arrangement with their banks and creditors.

Only Personal Insolvency Practitioners authorised by the ISI can make applications on behalf of borrowers.

Donal Hackett was one of the first Personal Insolvency Practitioners (PIP) to be authorised by the Insolvency Service. He has been interviewed by both local and national media on the Personal Insolvency legislation. Donal has been helping clients, both businesses and individuals, deal with the fallout from the economic downturn, in particular the significant debt problems which have arisen. The new legislation can provide solutions to people in serious debt. Donal has the experience, skills and the qualifications necessary to help clients avail of the opportunities provided by the legislation.
